EFESTO-2 at the 74th International Astronautical Congress (IAC)

The EU-funded Horizon Europe project, EFESTO-2, showcased its remarkable progress and contributions at the 74th International Astronautical Congress held in Baku, Azerbaijan. This event marked a historic moment for both the EFESTO-2 project and the space industry in Azerbaijan, which hosted the Congress for the second time in 50 years.

EFESTO-2, building upon the successes of its predecessor EFESTO (H2020 grant 821801), is committed to enhancing European expertise and technology capabilities in the field of Inflatable Heat Shields. The project aims to elevate the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) for future re-entry missions and expand the applicability of IHS in space missions.

EFESTO-2's remarkable progress and contributions to the field were unveiled at the International Astronautical Congress, a global platform where space experts and enthusiasts gathered to explore the vast potential of space for the betterment of humanity.

EFESTO-2 is a testament to the collaborative efforts and commitment of the European Union and its partners in advancing space technology and solutions for a more sustainable and promising future.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 1010811041.
